Mutton Lazizi


750 gm mutton (boneless)
250 gm onions
200 gm tomatoes
15 gm garlic
15 gm ginger (sliced)
15 gm coriander seeds
10 gm coriander leaves
10 gm red chilli powder
10 gm turmeric powder
10gm yogurt
10gm cumin seeds
6 green chillies
1/3 cup desi ghee
15 curry leaves
6 inch cinnamon stick



  • To prepare the spice mixture, put the cumin seeds, coriander and onions in a pan and heat for 5 minutes. Then put the rest of the spices in a blender, add water and grind to a paste.

  • Heat a little oil in a cooking pot and add garlic to it. Fry till it turns light brown. Now add mutton, tomatoes, salt (to taste), red chilli powder and turmeric powder. Cook for 40 minutes until the meat is tender. Now add the paste mixture and yogurt and cook for 10 minutes. Keep covered till ready for serving.
